Introduction to CCPU Lung Ultrasound in Neonatology
A one-day lung ultrasound workshop for those registered with ASUM for the neonatal Lung CCPU, or those intending to register for this module. Registration closes 12 November 2023.

This one-day lung ultrasound workshop is for those registered with ASUM for the CCPU Neonatal Lung (or intention to register for this module). Those already registered with ASUM for the CCPU Neonatal Lung will be prioritised to attend.

As this is an isolated module, there is no relation to experience with cardiac scanning or attendance of previous advanced cardiac workshops.

A prerequisite to attendance is completion of the CCPU Neonatal Lung Ultrasound online learning module.
There is no requirement to have a logbook record of completed scans. 

You are required to provide the following documents unless you already work at the host hospital:
- A copy of your current employment contract
- A Working with Children check.
- A recent police check. If you haven't had a recent police check please complete one through FitToWork using the following link:

A course dinner will be held on Friday evening, to which attendance is optional. The venue is La Camera in South Bank.

Accommodation:
We advise candidates to stay in the CBD or Footscray area and use public transport to the Sunshine Hospital / Joan Kirner Hospital.
The closest station is a 12 minute walk to the hospital.

COVID-19 Restrictions 

For in-person event attendance you must:

- Register for the event to be permitted to attend
- Stay at home if you are unwell or are in a period of self-isolation
- Maintain a 1.5m distance from others
- Minimise touching surfaces
- Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly with soap and water or use a hand sanitiser during the event
- Where required, wear a mask that fits completely over your nose and mouth

Cancellations and Refunds

Any cancellation request from a registrant must be received via email events@asum.com.au at least 10 days prior to this event. No refund will apply after this date. 
ASUM reserves the right to cancel the event within 14 days of due date if there are insufficient registrations or for extraordinary circumstances out of our control.
ASUM is not responsible for travel and accommodation costs incurred in the unlikely situation where we must cancel or reschedule the event.
ASUM will refund or provide credit vouchers for registration fees in both of these circumstances.
